Day 3 Tarangire National Park
Awaken to your first morning in the wilderness and enjoy a welcoming cup of coffee served on your tent’s deck. Set off to explore Tarangire National Park on morning and afternoon game drives. Sip cocktails or indulge in delicious dinners on your private veranda while watching lions, leopards, and resident bull elephants frequent the nearby waterhole.

Enjoy another day of exciting game drives and, if you prefer, walking safaris. You might encounter cheetahs, wildebeests, giraffes, lions, elephants, buffalo, leopards, and colobus monkeys. This morning, take a poignant and moving tour of the Kigali Memorial Centre. Explore the city’s wonderful collection of art galleries and cooperative centers with a local artist. After lunch, depart on a scenic drive to the base of the Sabinyo Mountains, where dramatic views of the peaks rear up through the forests. Guests are invited to meet the local community and participate in conservation efforts during their stay.

Day 10 Volcanoes National Park
Visit the Ellen Degeneres Campus for an immersive look into gorilla conservation efforts. Embark on a challenging hike that rewards you with stunning forest vistas. When you finally find the gorillas, all fatigue fades away. Watch as the troop goes about their day: females groom, juveniles play, and the dominant silverback keeps watch.

Day 11 Volcanoes National Park / Kigali
Enjoy one last breakfast and a stroll marveling at the lodge’s commitment to reforestation. Singita Volcanoes National Park’s Akarabo Nursery, meaning “Little Flower,” supports reforestation efforts by providing local saplings grown by the Coopav Mararo cooperative. Guests can visit the nursery to plant indigenous trees or join conservationists on an informative nature walk to explore ongoing restoration projects.
